My favorite is a psychedelic rock band called Colour Haze. Trancending sounds man & musically brilliant.
Way too many bands to list... it's easier to say that with the exception of the Scorpions, I love every German band I've heard.
Lately I've discovered Evertale, and they're freaking AMAZING!!! Imagine Nightfall in Middle-Earth era Blind Guardian, just based of the Dragonlance chronicles. Everyone who loves fantasy power metal should hear this album.

I also LOVE Suidakra!!!!... their the first band to introduce me to folk metal back in the day with Emprise to Avalon.
