I first received Nickelback's All the Wrong Reasons, then Guns N' Roses Appetite for Destruction from my mom. After that, things spiraled slowly and I was listening to Guns, then Metallica, then Def Leppard, then Megadeth, then Cacophony (I had also decided to start playing guitar), and many other bands.

Please Help !
Thanks !

I didn't find the right solution from the internet.

About 40 years. I heard Iron Man for the first time in 1977 and it changed my life. I think it's pretty damn cool that Nickelback started you on your journey. Those guys get so much hate but they are excellent musicians and song writers and that album has some kick ass songs on it. I'm constantly searching for new music, but also go backwards as there is an insane amount of pre-metal/proto-metal from the 70's that's amazing.
I started listening to metal while in middle school. A friend of mine at the time had Metallica And Justice For All on his discman with which was hooked up to a pair of speakers. I could not get enough of it and became addicted to metal. Since then my journey through metal music has led me down heavier and darker paths. I am now 39 years old and will be a metalhead for life.

Never have stopped....if it's 2 loud, then ur 2 old!
Started listening to metal when I was about 10 years old, when stumbling upon a Rammstein song completely by chance and wanting to hear more.
I'm 26 now and never stopped.
I have been listening to metal since I was 6 years old (28 this year). My mother and Father went through a messy break up when when I was about 3 years old. It all started with Pantera Vulgar Display of Power. I searched my mums cupboard, being as nosy as a 6 year old would. I loaded the dis into the Playstation 1. when track number 2 was selected (A New Level) I instantly knew that I was a metal head.

My mum kept trying to say it was a phase, boy was she wrong. I would torture her with metal for the wrest of my childhood coming up to my teenage years. She would always yell "Turn that crap off!" we used to wrestle as kids with my siblings while it played in the background. My mum got sick of hearing it. As I got older. My metal collection and taste had started expanding. Ranging from death core, metalcore, porno grind, melodic metal etc. I never grew out of it, tho I can listen to other genres these days without no fuss and still enjoy it.

But it doesn't matter the genre, the heart of metal inside of me will never dissapear, it is forever a part of my identity.
