I am suddenly really into blackened thrash. I need some recommendations. - Brandon Storm - 03-22-2014
I've never been much for thrash, but I've suddenly realized that I love blackened thrash. I'm normally a black metal guy, so I guess that aspect is very appealing to me.
The problem is that, since I've never been a big fan, I'm not familiar with anything from the thrash genre, really.
Can you guys share with me some particularly great blackened thrash?

I'm not too familiar with blackened thrash metal.
'Immortal' are the only band I know that could possibly fall into that genre.
'Sons of Northern Darkness' Is a pretty thrashy album.

Deströyer 666: phoenix rising
i would also suggest Immortal - blizzard beasts, even if it's not really thrash/black but you can find very good riffing

i think that they donated all the money from the sales of a limited edition vinyl, anyway... if you want blackned thrash, they are the band you are looking for
