Doujin metal - Iron Attack!

literally the best Doujin metal band. Period. I even believe their discography is up on this site - that's how i got it.

try looking for a band called Vow Wow.
Bow Wow is an influential hard rock/heavy metal band formed in Japan in 1975. They renamed themselves to Vow Wow in 1984,
a very underrated dand and well worth a listen

Well, listen to "Whispered" .. They are Melodeath/Power metal from Finland with Japanese Influences. They released 1 album "Thousands Swords" and their 2nd album is supposed to be released on Jan 2014.

I second on that band, I have one of their releases with only 3 songs, but they are very good.

However, how come nobody, not a single person mentioned LOUDNESS? :[ They are one of the biggest Japanese metal bands(at least in Japan). I'm only familiar with their 80's albums, but on the whole they play a heavy metal style like 80's Scorpions, but heavier, and with mind blowing guitar soloing. I guess you can call them power metal to some extent, but they have their fair share of slower songs as well. Here are a few good songs

One very good power/sympho Japanese Metal Band is Versailles, they look like a Visual Kei Band but they are actually making very good power metal songs.
Try the album noble from them.

Honestly, Versailles is not a power metal band, they are a visual key band. And I think Jubilee is their best album - noble is underproduced and they weren't experienced enough when they made that album. Jubilee and Holy grail exemplify Versailles at its peak in terms of the visual key sound, which is what they were always aiming for.

Though they have long since broken up, i can't really recommend the band's spiritual successor, Jupiter. Jupiter's recent album (from late August i think) was okay… it was somewhat solid, just nothing great.

If you like them, also check out Megaromania and Phantasmagoria, two other prominent visual key bands that i can remember off the top of my head.

Btw, i would like to thank you for introducing me to Coldrain. Thank you, it's cool to see that there are bands i don't know of that can still be awesome.

Well, the songs you posted aren't bad, but sadly i'm not a fan of heavy metal. People who appreciate it will definitely love those songs you posted. I prefer more stuff like Whispered and Chthonic too if you heard of them. Melodic Black metal from Taiwan with the South-Eastern Asian influences. If not give those ones a listen:
