Astaroth - Chaosatanas

This is the black metal Astaroth from Norway.   

One of the half-dozen Astarothii floating around. 

Quite good, no complaints from me. The vocalist has a really gravelly voice, it's good for conveying the sinisterness that goes along with the choice of chords / melodies in here, which are, in my opinion, often rather dischordant & gloomy, giving an uneasy feeling while listening. This lands fairly well into the black metal slot - there are melodies, but not quite melodic black metal. It's lively though, energetic, reasonably heavy, not lazy and lacadaisical. I'll enjoy again.
