Guys, can anyone suggest me some good raw folk black metal with medieval themes...black metal with raw production but using folk instruments like flute or violin or keyboards...Something similar to following releases:
Abigor - Orkblut
Satyricon - Dark Medieval Times
Aorlhac - La Cité des Vents
Osgiliath - Ainulindalë
Thanks and cheers!
I have also heard Evol, Enid and such stuff but I want specifically something similar to what I mentioned above. Thanks again!
Dude try this site Metal Storm
Hope you can find what you looking for.
sure! thanks!
can anyone else suggest something similar?
only THE BLACK LEGIONS (LES LEGIONS NOIRES)
Some are not raw as you are looking for, but these bands play different variations of black metal mixed with folk music
Затемно
Downfall of Nur
Véhémence
Путь
Сивый Яр
Although none come close to what Satyricon achieved on Dark Medieval Times.
Maybe there is a band that does, but i've not heard of them.
The Norwegian band Ulver's first album, Bergtatt – Et eeventyr i 5 capitler ("Spellbound – A Fairy Tale In 5 Chapters") is easily one of my favourite folk-black metal albums. It has fantastic atmosphere and an intresting sound, to say the least.
Let me know what you think.....
If you want to of course ;)

Yes. It's fantastic. The only Ulver album I really like.
Panphage, which I've just discovered, is great.
