Everything should be in FLAC. Lossless means when you reconstruct the audio signal from the compressed data, the audio will be exactly the same as it was before compression. That is definitely not the case with MP3.
On metal-tracker both mp3 and FLAC are supported. FLAC files have best quality, this is true, but Mp3 files are the standard in the sharing community ;)
