2024: Judas Paradox / Blackened MDM / Netherlands.
I'm not familiar with this group, so what I say has no relativity to their earlier work.
The sound seems ok, but I don't know what they're supposed to sound like. I've listened a dozen times; initially didn't care for the album. Deciphering the lyrical content has added extra interest to this album. I don't love it; but I am liking it increasingly with each time it plays. Blackened melodic death covers it, basically. They seem to create a rather full sound, blending together of the instruments and vocals.
More listening is required, and maybe to some other albums by this team as well. Tracks #7 and #1 on this album are particularly appealing to me; the latter for the lyrics, the former for the guitar. I'm not casting a vote based on only one album. Maybe later, if & after I hear more of these guys.
Thanks for sharing this, Varg.
