Belgian black metal... Thanks, you. Let's see here..
2007 -- didn't like it. too slow and abstract; sounds cluttered and muffled besides.
2009 -- better, but still sounds congested, and buzzy.. Not liking it a tonne. Track #3 is ok. Better than 2007 but not great.
2019 -- has 10 years made a difference? Hm, was there synth earlier? I don't know, but there's some here, faintly, not overpowering. Overall sound is smoother, better mixed, not congested feeling as earlier. And there's a different vocalist, more up front now (two vocalists), whereas vocals in earlier albums were more background. There's a heavy doom feeling here, which reminds me a little of Dread Sovereign. This album got better as it went, especially the guitar; ultimately: pretty good!
Two more albums by these guys, for later.
2021 -- Growly, aggressive. Fairly heavy. Music style is still (in my opinion) a bit noisy, congested -- maybe it's the synth filling in all the little spaces between the musics.. But I do like (not love) this album -- a bit more than the previous one. A couple more decades, these guys will be perfect for me. For now, let's go to the other torrent where the final album awaits.
