This is awesome. Another group I've somehow missed out on.
These guys were making cool albums when I was how old-- ten?! What the hell.. I love the sound of this, both the musical style, as well as the sound of the recording -- both take me back to a time long ago when I first heard Slayer.
There's something to be said for a band comprised of around 4 humans with instruments, as opposed to one musician with a lot of equipment, regardless of the talent of the single musician. I prefer to hear a real drummer's timing drift while he plays insanely fast, than a machine playing everything perfectly all the time.
Currently listening to Bathory (1984) and it's great!! On to 1985...
