Mexico.. Black death metal?
Hmmm.
This sounds to me like 90% black metal, with 10% death metal bits & pieces. Not that it's terrible because of this -- not at all. As black metal goes, it's alright.. Sinister, abrasive. And the death bits involve additional heaviness (deep chords) chugging, a deathy vocalist, and a few leads & guitar solos. When not deathy, it's got atmospheric (or not well mixed) hoarse vocals, steady pounding percussion right out of black metal, and nauseating, fast guitar, also very black-metal. Add a few weird screams and howls that could be from either genre, and it amounts to a not bad mixture of deathy black metal with some grindy sections. Perhaps a better production wouldn't hurt these guys. I would hear their next album, if one comes forth.
Not awesome, but not bad. And not quite death metal.
