Tight, snappy MDM with a strong retro-classic thrash component. Clear, solid sound, with vocals shared by a deathy guy and a blackened guy. I like this quite a bit - fine, energetic, chuggy metal. For some reason, Cowboys From Hell comes into mind.
I've only begun the album recently; the tags there say metalcore as a sub-genre. Personally, I will prefer less metalcore, rather than more.. We'll see! I'll be back when the album ends, with final words.
Final words: very little detectable metalcore influence, in my opinion. Mainly nicely melodic MDM, and thrash, and decent too - with a message pertinent to our time. Cool. Merci, DarkSun.
